Your dashboard

What this module is for

The dashboard is the home page of NextIT. It shows the key figures for your company, the next steps in your compliance work, and links to every area of the app. Use it as your starting point to reach any module.

Before you start

• You need an active NextIT account. Open NextIT and sign in.
• Your role decides which cards you see. The table below shows the cards for each role.
• Your company name appears in the page title.

How to open a module from the dashboard

   Open the dashboard

   Sign in to NextIT. The dashboard opens as the home page.

   Select an action card

   Select a card, such as Security Incident Register or Portability Requests. The module opens.

   Return to the dashboard

   Select the Back to Dashboard button in the module.

What you see

The page title is your company name followed by Compliance Dashboard. The page shows:

• Four key performance indicator (KPI) tiles: Monthly spend, High-risk software, Public scan score and Last scan.
• The Top 5 most expensive software panel.
• The assessment banner.
• The action cards, in two rows.
• For an Admin only, a widget that tracks the expiry of evidence.

Select User Management to open Access & Roles in My Company. Select Company Information to open My Company.

Key figures

Each KPI tile shows one figure for your company. Select a tile to see more detail.

• Select Public scan score to open the Scan Report. The Scan Report checks your domain and website from the outside.
• Select Top 5 most expensive software to see the five software items with the highest cost.

The assessment banner

The banner Complete your compliance assessment has two buttons.

• Start Assessment opens the questions. See Compliance assessment for details.
• Retake Assessment starts the assessment again. Auditors do not see this button, and they cannot save answers to the questions.

Notifications

Open the notifications panel on the dashboard to see alerts from NextIT, such as new vulnerability alerts. Acknowledge an alert to confirm that you have seen it.

To choose which notifications you receive, open My Profile.

Help & Support

Select Help & Support on the dashboard. The page has four tabs.

• Getting Started gives short guides.
• Tutorials gives video tutorials.
• FAQs lets you search questions by category.
• Support gives you Send Email to contact the team, and Book Now to book a consulting session.

My Profile

Open the header menu and select My Profile. The page holds:

• Quick Actions: View Dashboard, Manage Controls and View Reports.
• Your personal information and Change Password.
• Your subscription. See Plans & billing.
• Your language. If you do not choose a language, NextIT opens in French.
• Your notification preferences.
• MCP Settings, where you select Connect an AI assistant. MCP means Model Context Protocol, and AI means artificial intelligence. You sign in with your own account, and the assistant never gets more than your role allows.

Common tasks

• Open a module: select its card on the dashboard.
• Start or repeat the assessment: select Start Assessment or Retake Assessment in the banner.
• See your scan results: select the Public scan score tile.
• Find an answer: open Help & Support and select FAQs.
• Change your password or language: open My Profile.

Tips

• Check the KPI tiles after you add software or domains, to see the change.
• Search FAQs in Help & Support before you contact support.
• After you connect an AI assistant, ask it for your compliance score.
